It did show bad part of mumbai and bad things that happen there, but it was pictured perfectly in a sequence to create enough interest. Westerns like to see the extremes in the movies, so it was extreme living condition depicted in the movie that attracted the westerners.

A.R.rehman had the perfect opportunity to show case himself as best in music. Hollywood extra,access has show cased the indian cast and interviews for the first time along with Hollywood biggies Brad pitt, Angilena jolie, Winslet....etc. All the western People are flocking to theatres to see the movie.
